I am learning more about the horrible earthquake event in Haiti and I keep thinking of this: As I have  been travelling around the world (although I’ve never been to Haiti) and meeting people from many countries and cultures, I am always surprised how similar their priorities, aspirations and fears are to the people I know here in the States. The people in Haiti are right now feeling just like you or I would feel if we lost loved ones or our home and security was destroyed. But there is one important difference, unlike here, there are virtually no organized systems or infrastructure to deal with disasters like this in Haiti. It’s easy to feel helpless…
